Then, Lawson went to a rehabilitation clinic, and was a few days later sold to the Houston Rockets. In the autumn of 2015, he made his debut with the Rockets in the opening match of the season. However, in December, he was suspended again by the NBA because of driving while intoxicated. In January 2016, he is suspended for three matches by NBA, and was subsequently cut by the Rockets. In later 2016 he played for the Indiana Pacers, yet suffered an injury. In summer of 2016, he signed with the Sacramento Kings for one year.
