Tito Puente Net Worthy of: Tito Puente was an American salsa musician and Latin jazz composer who had a net worthy of of $5 million. Throughout his profession, Puente performed with several leading jazz performers and in addition with many symphony orchestras. Navy and offered during Globe War II. More than his 50-year profession, he was most widely known for dance-oriented mambo and Latin jazz compositions. Puente and his music come in many films, like the Mambo Kings and Fernando Trueba’s Calle 54. He also guest-starred on many television shows (Sesame Road, The Cosby Show & most notably The Simpsons two-part event Who Shot Mr. Burns?). By the ’50s, the band was attracting huge crowds and Puente became a Latin music feeling. In 1999, Puente was awarded an honorary level at Columbia University. After an apprenticeship in the historical Machito Orchestra, Puente was drafted in to the U.S. Puente was also known as The Musical Pope, El Rey de los Timbales (The King of the timables) and The King of Latin Music. He came back to NY in 1945 to review at NY City’s famed Juilliard College and in 1948 shaped a band that could later be referred to as the Tito Puente Orchestra. The boy of Puerto Rican immigrants, Puente was raised in NY City’s Spanish Harlem and became a specialist musician at age group 13. In 1958, Puente released his best-offering album, Dance Mania, and even more hits implemented. Ernesto Antonio “Tito” Puente (aka Tito Puente) was created July 23, 1923 in NEW YORK, NY. Puente received many awards for his function, including five Grammy Awards. He learned to enjoy several instruments as a kid, you start with the piano after that shifting to vibraphone, percussion, saxophone and timbales. Ernesto Antonio “Tito” Puente died June 1, 2000 (aged 77) in NEW YORK, New York.

2 Pictured on one of five nondenominated USA commemorative stamps honoring Latin Music Legends, issued on 16 March 2011; price on day of issue was 44¢. The other stamps honored Carmen Miranda, Selena, Carlos Gardel and Celia Cruz.
