Tim Tebow Net Worth $3 Million

A well-known American football player,  According to sources, in 2013, his annual salary with the “Jets” amounted to $2.5 million, while that same year he collected $3 million from various endorsements for “Nike”, “EA Sports” and other companies. Meanwhile, in 2014 Tebow’s salary with the team diminished to $895,000. In regards to his total wealth,

Just as his four siblings, Tebow was home-schooled, yet this did not prevent him from taking part in various school competitions. This was mostly due to a law passed in Florida, which stated that students who were home-schooled were allowed to partake in high school events. As a result of that, Tebow started to play football for Allen D. Nease High School, where he made a name for himself as a skilled quarterback, in which position he would play all his football. He proved himself when he led his high school team called the “Panthers” to win the state championship, subsequently being named Florida’s Player of the Year. Tebow continued playing at the University of Florida, representing the “Gators” team. Even though initially Tebow was picked as a backup for the team, he managed to excel in 2007, as he won numerous awards, among them the Heisman Trophy, and helped his team make it to the BCS Championship. In 2008 he was named to the First-team All-SEC, voted for by Coaches and Rivals, plus First-team All-America by College Football News among other awards, and the following season the same awards and more.

Of course Tebow’s successful football career at the University attracted the attention of football scouts, and gained him an opportunity to join the NFL Draft in 2010. He was chosen as the 25th pick by the Denver Broncos, signing an $11.25 million five-year contract, plus performance-based incentives, with $8.7 million guaranteed – his net worth was certainly established. Tebow spent two seasons year with the “Broncos”, being overall successful with winning contributions, but hiding many errors, including sacks and interceptions. The Broncos made the play-offs in 2012, defeating the Steelers, but then lost to the Patriots. Tim was subsequently traded to the New York Jets, but played very intermittently partly because of a rib injury, and after one season was released and then signed to a two-year contract by the Patriots. However, Tebow failed to secure a spot on the team, and was released from his contract two months later.

That same year, Tim Tebow became a college football analyst for the SEC Network, while trying to secure another playing contract, and actually co-hosted “Good Morning America”  on ABC News before Super Bowl XLVIII. Eventually in 2015 he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, but was released before the regular season.

Despite not playing baseball since high school, in 2016 Tebow advised all Major League Baseball (MLB) clubs that he was available and interested in playing – he was eventually signed by  the New York Mets to a minor league contract, and after playing the 2017 season with several minor league clubs, is now looking to progress upwards in 2018.

In his personal life, Tim Tebow remains single, but in an interview, said that he is ‘still looking for a wife’. He is something of a philanthropist, launching the Tim Tebow Foundation in 2010 to raise funds for building a hospital in the Philippines, as well as a pediatric cancer center in Gainesville’s Shands Hospital.

Tebow is  outspoken about his Christian faith. He has preached at schools and villages in the Philippines, and in the US has has talked about his faith in prisons, schools and to youth groups.

He is currently based in New York City.
