Tim Hardaway grew up in Chicago where he went to the Carver Area High School, after which Tim studied at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where he played basketball under Hall of Famer coach Don Haskins and earned two MVP of El Paso’s Sun Bowl Invitational Tournament awards in 1987 and 1988.
