The band made its debut in 1972 with the self-titled album, which produced three singles that reached Top 40. The most successful single out of three that the album produced was “Best of My Love”, which became the first single to peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. However, it was their 1975 album titled “One of These Nights” that made “The Eagles” one of the most known bands in the United States. The album sold over 4 million copies worldwide while “Take It to the Limit” peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, “The Eagles” left a remarkable impact on the music industry. A lead guitarist, how rich is Don Felder then? According to sources, Don Felder’s net worth is estimated to amount to $60 million. Undoubtedly, the majority of Don Felder’s wealth comes from his music career. Don Felder was born in 1947, in Florida, US, and has been interested in music since his childhood. Felder taught himself how to play guitar and when he was 15 created his first band called “The Continentals”. Soon enough Felder met Bernie Leadon who replaced one of the band’s former members. With Leadon on board, “The Continentals” changed their name to the “Maundy Quartet” and made friends with another upcoming band “The Epics” run by Tom Petty. However, the “Maundy Quartet” did not last long and Felder joined several other bands before he became a member of “The Eagles” with whom he became a nationally known musician.

When “The Eagles” disbanded in 1980s, Felder took up to working on his solo projects. With main focus on session work and composing film music, Felder worked with “The Bee Gees” on their album “Living Eyes”, contributed to the works of Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, as well as Stevie Nicks. Felder then went on to create music for films and some of his songs are even featured in a sci-fi fantasy movie “Heavy Metal” directed by Gerald Potterton. In 1983, Felder expanded his solo career even more and released his first solo album entitled “Airborne”. Even though the album did not do as well on the market as the works of “The Eagles”, it produced a single called “Never Surrender”, which remained a hit for a while. In 2010, Felder was honored by a maker of guitars “Gibson Guitar Corporation” for using their manufactured guitar to play in some of his most memorable shows with “The Eagles”.
