Born Robson de Souza on the 25th January 1984, in São Vicente, Brazil, he is a soccer player who plays as a forward for the Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro. Previously he played for several teams, including another Brazilian club, Santos, then in La Liga for Real Madrid, in the Premier League for Manchester City, and also tried himself in Italian Serie A playing for Milan. Robinho joined Santos when he was 12 years old and passed through their youth system, joining the first team in 2002. When he was only 15 years old, Brazilian legend Pelé, who spent over 20 years in Santos, handpicked young Robinho as his heir, and he was right, as Robinho led Santos to two Campeonato Brasileiro in 2002 and then 2004.
