Hollins was an associate trainer for the Vancouver Grizzlies from 1995 to 1999 and offered as their interim mind trainer from 1999 to 2000. Lionel Hollins was created in Arkansas Town, Kansas in October 1953. Hollins was a spot guard who performed at Rancho SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, Dixie Junior University, and Arizona Condition University. He was twice called to the First-team All-WAC. Hollins was drafted #6 by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1975 NBA Draft. He performed for Portland from 1975 to 1980 and for the Philadelphia 76ers from 1980 to 1982. Hollins performed for the NORTH PARK Clippers from 1982 to 1983, the Detroit Pistons from 1983 to 1984, and the Houston Rockets from 1984 to 1985. During his playing profession he received an NBA Championship with the Blazers and was an NBA All-Celebrity in 1978. Hollins was section of the NBA All-Rookie First Group in 1976, NBA All-Defensive First Group in 1978, and NBA All-Defensive Second Group in 1979. In 2014 Hollins became head trainer of Brooklyn Nets.
