One of her first notable roles came in 1980, playing a nurse in the comedy film “Just Tell Me What You Want”, then making a guest appearance in the television sitcom “Me and Maxx”. The same year she landed a part in the hit ABC sitcom “Laverne & Shirley”, as Rhonda Lee, a trumpet-playing neighbor who lives next to the couple, which enabled her to gain much needed recognition among audiences, paving her way to greater fame.
