Juan Williams is the son of Akin Jules Williams, an accountant, and Sharon Williams, who worked as a secretary. When he was four years old, the Williams family moved from Panama to Brooklyn, New York, where he was educated at elementary school, then he attended the Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he started showing interest in journalism, as he became an editor of the student’s newspaper.
