Juan Williams is the son of Akin Jules Williams, an accountant, and Sharon Williams, who worked as a secretary. When he was four years old, the Williams family moved from Panama to Brooklyn, New York, where he was educated at elementary school, then he attended the Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he started showing interest in journalism, as he became an editor of the student’s newspaper. Besides that, he also participated in other school activities such as baseball and other sports. In 1972, he enrolled at the Haverford College in Pennsylvania and in 1976 he graduated with a BA degree in Philosophy. The same year he began pursuing HIS dream to become a professional journalist, as he joined the Washington Post. There he developed writing skills for 23 years, working as a political columnist, covering political campaigns until 2000.

Before the 1990s ended, Williams joined the National Public Radio, and the Fox TV News Channel, which increased his net worth by a large margin. On Fox news he started working as a political analyst in 1997, and regarding NPR, he was a host of the talk show “Talk Of The Nation”. He stayed at NPR until 2010, when the producers decided to terminate his contract, after his notorious remarks against Muslims. Regarding his career on the Fox News, in the beginning he served as a news contributor, but his career quickly progressed, and he began to feature more and more as a host, initially appearing in shows such as “FOX News Sunday With Chris Wallace”, but later promoted to the position of co-host of the popular radio show “Five”.

His first book entitled “This Far By Faith: Stories From The African American Religious Experience” was published in 2003. By 2013, he had published five more books, from which the most popular are “Enough” (2006), “Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary” (2000), and “Eyes On The Prize: America’s Civil Rights Years, 1954-1965” from 1987, which became a best-seller and the basis of the documentary series of the same name. All these projects have had a huge influence on raising his fortune. Williams’ work on the TV documentary brought to him an Emmy Award in 1989. Other than that, Williams has written a number of articles for magazines like “TIME”, “The New Republic”, “Fortune” and others.

Regarding his personal life, Juan Williams has been married to Susan Delise since July of 1978, and they have three children. He is also known as a person who fights against racism and currently he is on the Board of Directors of the New York Civil Rights Coalition.
