When McMillan & Wife (1971) returned in a scaled-down version as "McMillan" (also produced by Stern), Schuck's character returned to that series as well, appearing briefly in each episode (it was explained that the character, Sergeant Charles Enright, had received a promotion and a transfer away from the Commissioner's office, but still dropped in on his old boss).
