Appearing out of senior high school, he was a two-superstar recruit by Rivals. James Carpenter was created on March 22, 1989 in Augusta Georgia. He focused on Iowa Condition before he made the official visit, but because of educational struggles, the Cyclones positioned him at Coffeyville Community University. Carpenter spent two periods at Coffeyville, and improved more than enough that and Rivals. The damage limited him to simply seven games in 2012, which he began. He also produced the NJCAA All-American first group in 2008. He began every video game for the Crimson Ravens and gained All-Conference honors both periods. Carpenter still remained an Iowa Condition signee, but visited various other schools and eventually focused on Alabama. After two solid periods for the Crimson Tide (in addition to good post-period play), Carpenter’s share rose significantly, and he was used by the Seattle Seahawks with the 25th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he started nine video games before struggling an ACL damage that ended his ranked him seeing that a four-superstar recruit. In 2013, he made an appearance in all 16 video games for the Seahawks, beginning in 10 of these.
