Guy Adami was born the eldest of five children of Nancy C. and Guy M. Adami, and grew up in New York where he went to the Croton-Harmon High School. Guy matriculated in 1982, and went on to study at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1986.
Soon after a graduation, Adami launched his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert where he served on the floor of the commodity futures exchange at the New York Mercantile Exchange, with attendant offices in Boston, Washington, Atlanta, San Francisco, Dubai, London, and Tokyo. Aron to become its vice-president.
