Greyson Michael Chance, born on the 16th of August 1997, is an American singer, pianist and music writer, who became famous in 2010 with a viral video on the internet of his performance of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi”.

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, Chance is the son of Scott and Lisa Chance – he has two siblings, Alexa and Tanner, who are also musicians. He spent most of his growing years in Edmond, Oklahoma, and started playing piano at age eight and has received piano lessons since then. Although he is now a known singer, he doesn’t have any formal training in singing.
Chance broke into the spotlight in 2010 when a video of him performing at Cheyenne Middle School went viral on the internet – “Paparazzi” by Lady Gaga during a music festival; posted on YouTube, ultimately gaining over 50 million views. A few months later, in October 2010, Chance released his first single – “Waiting Outside the Lines” – which became an international hit. The following year, his debut album “Hold on ‘Til the Night” followed. The success of his video going viral and his first single helped start his net worth, even at the young age of 14.
