Felix Cavaliere was born on the 29th November 1942, in Pelham, New York City USA, and is a musician, singer, songwriter, pianist and organ player, best known to the world as an original member of the cult rock band The Young Rascals. He joined his first band called Stereos, but then, while at Syracuse University, Felix formed the band The Escorts and soon dropped out of studies in order to pursue his career in music. His next stop was the cult band Joey Dee and the Starliters, but then he formed the Rascals, with Eddie Brigati and his brother David, Gene Cornish and Dino Danelli. Soon they signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records, but before their first album came out, they had to change their name due to objections from Johnny Puleo and Borrah Minnevitch who called themselves Harmonica Rascals; so The Young Rascals were born.
The band existed until the early ‘70s, and still reformed on several occasions for touring.
