Stallworth grew up in Sacramento, where he attended Grant Union High School, excelling in football and track and field. He later enrolled in the University of Tennessee, majoring in Psychology. He played for the school’s football team, the Volunteers, making second team All-SEC in 2001 and scoring 1,747 reception yards, being ranked ninth in the school’s history.

In 2002, he was selected in the first round as the 13th overall pick in the NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints. He went on to remain four seasons with the team, which significantly contributed to his net worth.

In 2006 Stallworth was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. During his time with the team, he was reportedly in the league substance abuse program.

The following year he joined the New England Patriots, signing a six-year, $30 million contract with $3.5 million guaranteed, boosting his wealth considerably. However, the team released him only a year later.

He then signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with the Cleveland Browns. But, in 2009, he was suspended by the NFL for the entire season without pay due to his conviction on a DUI manslaughter charge.

Stallworth joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2010, signing a one-year, $900,000 contract with the team, improving his net worth once again. Although his stats were less then impressive, he earned the Ed Block Courage Award that year.

In 2011 he signed a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins, but the team waived him shortly after. Later that year he re-signed with the Redskins and came back to the game as a replacement for another wide receiver.

Stallworth had his second stint with the New England Patriots in 2012. However, the team soon released him, only to re-sign him to replace another player. He then suffered an injury, being out of game for the remainder of his contract with the Patriots.

The following year he joined the Redskins again, but was waived by the team only a few months later, which lead to his retirement. During his 10-year career in the NFL, Stallworth achieved a great level of popularity and established a considerable wealth.

After retiring from professional football, he made a career switch and began working for the Huffington Post, which named him one of its national security fellows in a six-month internship, covering national security and politics in Washington, D.C. Being a full-time reporter, Stallworth learned the most important aspects of journalism and covered various stories and conducted interviews. However, as of 2016, he works as a strategy consultant at Valens Global, combating terrorism.

When it comes to his personal life, Stallworth likes to keep it away from media. Therefore, sources don’t have any details regarding his marital/relationship status. It is it believed that he is single at present.

The former player was involved in controversy in 2009, killing a pedestrian while DUI and under the influence of marijuana as well. He received a sentence of a month in jail, 1,000 hours of community service, two years of community control and 8 years’ probation. This resulted in an NFL suspension for the 2009 season and a lifetime suspension of driver’s license. As for the civil lawsuit, Stallworth reached a settlement with the victim’s family outside the court for an undisclosed sum.
