Djibril Cissé was born on August 12, 1981 in Arles, Bouches-du-Rhône, Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur, France. He has been married to Jude Cissé since June 18, 2005. They have two children.
Suffered a second broken leg in a 2006 World Cup warm-up match for France in May 2006. It was a similar injury to that which kept him out for 6 months in 2004/2005, but it was the right leg that was broken this time
