Richard Alva Cavett was born on the 19th November 1936, in Gibbon, Nebraska USA, and is a Primetime-Emmy Award winning television host and actor, but still best known to the world for hosting his own “The Dick Cavett Show” from 1968 until 1991 in many forms and on many television stations, and also on radio stations. Dick then enrolled at Yale University to study English, but in his senior year switched his studies to drama.
