Having matriculated he enrolled into Hobart and William Smith Colleges, – where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity – and from where Rosensweig graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science. During his college education, he studied in London as well. Prior to his big breakthrough in business, he was selling Pitney Bownes Dictaphone word processors around Manhattan, but the company released him shortly after. In the following period, he got a job at Ziff Davis and sold publications to corner-shop computer retail stores, eventually being promoted to classified ad sales, followed by his new job in front-of-book ad sales, and ending by becoming the publisher of ‘’PC Magazine’’, his net worth growing commensurately with his promotions
