Interesting Facts

#Fact
In addition to touring with Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago has just completed recording "Chicago XXX", which is tentatively set for release in the spring of 2006. [September 2005]
Chicago was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 6438 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
Members have included Peter Cetera, Mark Goldenberg, Robert Lamm, James Pankow, Terry Kath, Walter Parazaider, Lee Loughnane, Danny Seraphine, Don Dacus, Chris Pinnick, Bill Champlin, Jason Scheff, Keith Howland, Tris Imboden
Despite the personnel changes over the years, the group still keeps active more than three-and-a-half decades after its founding.
The band was formed when a group of DePaul University music students began playing a series of late-night jams at clubs on and off campus.
Despite boasting a top five hit single in "Will You Still Love Me?", "Chicago 18" (1986) only went gold. However, the band recovered with "Chicago 19", released in the spring of 1988. Among its singles, "I Don't Want to Live Without Your Love" made the top five, "Look Away" topped the charts, and "You're Not Alone" made the top ten as the album went platinum.
According to Billboard chart statistics, Chicago is second only to The Beach Boys as the most successful American rock band of all time, in terms of both albums and singles.
Singer/guitarist/group founder Terry Kath died of a foolhardy, self-inflicted gunshot wound, delivering a devastating blow to the band, but Chicago later moved on and recorded "Hot Streets".
